Inhibitors of Myosin Light Chain Phosphatase

Milton Brown

Myosin light chain phosphatase (MLCP) is a serine/threonine phosphatase that dephosphorylates myosin light chain (MLC). MLCP plays an important role in many cell signaling pathways such as glycogen metabolism, cell cycle control, motility of cells, and it is up-regulated in prostate cancer. We are developing selective inhibitors of MLCP to study its role in prostate cancer progression.
