Kevin McGeagh, MD, is the Director of Laparoscopic Urology and an Assistant Professor and attending physician in the Department of Urology. Prior to joining the Department of Urology at Georgetown University Hospital, he was the Chief of Urology at the VA Medical Center in Washington DC, and maintained an extensive practice in the treatment of prostate cancer. Dr. McGeagh has a special interest in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery, cryosurgery for kidney and prostate cancer, and treatment of post-prostatectomy incontinence.
After graduating from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, he completed his internship and residency at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. McGeagh is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology, and a member of the American Urological Association, the Society of University Urologists and the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He is also a participant in the Cryoablation OnLine Database –Registry (COLD). In 2004, he received the Georgetown Urology Faculty Teacher of the Year award.
