Jonathan J. Hwang, MD, a national expert in robotic surgery, is the director of the new Robotic Surgery Program at Washington Hospital Center. An active researcher and surgeon, he specializes in field of robotic and laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Hwang has performed more than 500 robotic surgeries, including radical prostatectomies, pyeloplasties, and pelvic reconstruction. His other interests include laparoscopic kidney and adrenal surgery for cancer treatment. Dr. Hwang has published extensively on the subjects of minimally invasive surgery, robotic surgery, and urology.
